I live in Burstall, SK. When I receive any mail and only my physical address is on the envelope, and not the p o box, the Post person writes RTS, or Box # required. I’ve never had this happen in all the 40 years of living here. It is disappointing that I have to ensure that all of my purchases with my credit card need to be changed to PO box #. Many stores do not deliver to PO Boxes. There are only about 100 mail boxes here, doesn’t cross-referencing the information work in our high tech world. I am disappointed and frustrated. Also, when I went into your website my po box doesn’t even show up under the postal code search. Also, my Physical Address doesn’t show up either. Looks like an update is required in your system so that my mail doesn’t show up with scribble pen marks all over it. I do what I can with notifying purchases with PO boxes, but some don’t deliver to a PO Box. Also, some courier services interconnect with Postal Services.
I just wanted to send a note about our post master here in Burstall, SK. I want to let the office know that I have had nothing but excellent service from her. She is very proficient in her job. Lately I’ve been hearing that some people from town are giving her a hard time. Kate does a very professional, proficient job. She makes it a pleasure to do business in the post office, and takes time to socialize if there is a break in her day. We are lucky to have Kate as she handles the Post Office in a very professional manner.
Scribbled pen marks on one’s private mail used to be severely frowned upon by Postal managers. Now the post office department HQ personnel turn a blind eye to those miscreants who vandalize first class mails. Even in centers were Community Mail Boxes have replaced home delivery, supervisory staff must be reminded frequently that scribbled numbers etc on private mail is absolutely unacceptable. First the POD took away our home delivery and now they think they can delivery our mails in a very unprofessional manner. We must bring national awareness to this issue of scribbled notation on private mail. They must be held accountable.
