This is my local post office. I am in there a number of times in a month and I am so frustrated at the service. It is a very busy outlet for the most part and numerous times that my husband and I have been in there at separate times, the same thing happens. There is typically a very long line up and a customer comes in to mail something and goes to the cashier. Not to the post office line and asks a question about mailing something and employee goes to the post office staff to help this person out. The PO staff pauses everything they are doing for all the people in line and serves the person that the employee brought over. Therefore all the post office customers now wait even longer as the this other customer never had to stand in the large PO line. Thereby bypassing the need to wait for service and causing a number of post office customers to wait even longer. Today again after having to wait 40 minutes in line the same thing occurred again. It is totally unacceptable, annoying, maddening and extremely poor customer service. I am not the only person in line that feels this way and if there was somewhere else I could go, I would. The elderly woman in front of me was in so much pain after waiting 40 minutes just to mail two cards. She said she would not return to this location because of the poor handling of the issue. I am sure you would not want many of your customers following suit.
Hopefully by me bringing this you your attention this can be addressed with all appropriate staff.
